**British Airways Flight Issues Mayday on Heathrow Approach Following Stall Warnings**
**LONDON – July 7, 2023** – A British Airways Airbus A320 aircraft, operating flight BA935 from Dusseldorf, Germany, issued a Mayday call while on approach to London Heathrow Airport yesterday, July 6, after experiencing two separate stall warnings.
The incident occurred as the aircraft, carrying an undisclosed number of passengers and crew, was preparing for landing at one of the world’s busiest airports. A Mayday call signifies that the aircraft is in grave and imminent danger and requires immediate assistance.
According to preliminary reports, the pilots of the A320, a twin-engine short-to-medium-range passenger jet, detected two stall warnings. Stall warnings are critical alerts indicating that the airflow over the wings is becoming insufficient to generate lift, a condition that, if uncorrected, can lead to a loss of control.
